About Dr Amelia Stephens


Dr Amelia Stephens is a GP with special interest in Integrative Medicine working in Brisbane..

Amelia completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science degree prior with majors in Biomedical Science and Physiology in 2007.  Amelia completed her specialist General Practice training in 2016, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

She also completed the RACGP Future Leaders program in 2018, in light of her motivation and constant engagement within the GP community.



Working as a GP

Amelia currently works as a GP at Santé Medical in Brisbane.

She has a keen interest in preventive health and works with people of all ages to assist with their health concerns.

  • Contraceptive advice & Implanon insertion 
  • Pap smears / Cervical Cancer Screening

  • In depth Integrative - Nutritional and Functional medicine assessment, testing and treatment . Please note not all functional medicine testing is Medicare rebateable.


Background


Dr Amelia completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland St Lucia in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Biomedical Science and Physiology prior.

After graduating from the University of QLD she thoroughly enjoyed completed her training years as a junior doctor at Redcliffe Hospital, followed by a year in General Practice training at Majellan Medical Centre in Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

In 2015, Amelia decided to undertake an Academic training position at the University of Queensland where she trained and worked in medical education and primary care research within the Primary Care Clinical Unit in the Faculty of Medicine for 3.5 years.
